Job post: KTP associate at Social Firms UK

Middlesex University is now recruiting a Business Development Associate to work on a KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership0 project with Social Firms UK).

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (referred to as KTPs) are designed to facilitate collaboration between higher education institutions and businesses, including social enterprises, and involve placing a graduate within the enterprise to support the transfer of knowledge and expertise.

This Knowledge Transfer Partnership award has recently been won by The School of Health and Social Sciences at Middlesex University, in partnership with Social Firms UK to fund a KTP Associate to work to:
– identify successful growth factors in the Social Firm sector;
– identify potential markets and report on best practice; and
– develop tools and resources which incorporate the learnings from this project.

Social Firms UK is the national support organisation for the development of Social Firm businesses in the UK. Social Firms are social enterprises whose particular social mission is to create sustainable employment for >25% of the workforce who are people with severe disadvantages in the labour market (e.g. people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, ex-offenders etc.).

Middlesex University is now recruiting a KTP Business Development Associate to work on the project.
– Location: Social Firms UK, Redhill, Surrey RH1 6QZ
Salary range: £ 21,356 – £24,420
Period: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – full time

The Associate will be supervised by Alessio D’Angelo, Middlesex University and Di Cunliffe, Social Firms UK.
